Temporary (until the next reboot)

ifconfig eth0:2 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0 broadcast 10.255.255.255 up

Permanent:

make a copy of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to
ifcfg-eth0:2. Change the interface inside to eth0:2, and the IP to
whatever it needs to be. Be sure to put this additional IP in the
/etc/hosts file.
