Hello,

I've posted the same problem before few weeks ago but none of the
responses gave me a solution ;-( Anyway, I have some more information
now which I hope will help.

The same h/w was running Mandrake 8.2 without any problem. Since I
installed Mandrake 9.0 the system is going into suspend mode (or
something like suspend mode) for a second or two. It does this every 10 minutes, it doesn't matter text mode, with or without framebuffer or X-windows, with APM and screensavers not installed.

Actually I did that during the system installation while it was unpacking s/w!

Running processes do not cause errors, e.g. I do not see any disruption, ppp runs ok only MP3 player repeats the last sec or so.

I would apreciate any comments and thnaks in advance.
