I don't have any suggestions other than googling for undelete reiser.  I
seem to recall hearing _something_ about it.  I suggest that you join
the reiserfs list (http://www.namesys.com) and ask there.

That's one of those things about Linux.  You tell it to do something and
it does it.  The short answer is be careful doing things as root.  The
long answer is don't be root unless you absolutely have to.  Addendum to
that is keep current with your backups.  But I'm preaching to the choir.
