Link /etc/alternatives/lib_cpp with /usr/bin/cpp-3.2 as root with the
following command:
     ln -s /usr/bin/cpp-3.2 /etc/alternatives/lib_cpp

This should resolve your problems with the menus. It did for me when I
ran into the problem.
