ssh -X linux_boxen

make sure you use an xterm or something within X, and not something like
Terminal.app (although this depends if you're using Apple's X...  I've not
tried it yet but the distinction may be less fuzzy with Apple's X).

That's how I run Komodo on my mac when I need to... as it's Linux-only and
x86-only (so can't even run it in mandrake/ppc, more's the pity).
