rules, regulations, what ever name you may want to apply it, just like horses will never fly, and every one knows where horse flies lay, it can never be enforced when some one responds to what some one believes should not happen.
a post is just that, a post. you do not like, delete it. respond to it, you start a thread, for others to follow. all too many, and what by where they lead? a needle.
remember what happens when you play with needles. you get pricked, or you become one.
far greater are number of post that are not in 'text/plain', as has been mentioned many time, that is requested. and i have made comments, which i no longer do, but continue with a sig that request 'text/plain'.
after setting a filter to trap non text/plain, i have collected 594 post dating from 2/21/01 10:14 pm to 3/14/03 1:10 pm, for a total of 3,817,156 bytes.
majority of these are 'subject: [newbie] ***'. what is most interesting about this, is number of 'subject: Re [newbie] ***'.
a very fine example of, 'those who do not know and asking, then, being help by some who do know, but really do not know, for their example of what is accepted, is contradiction'.
