Hia again folks,

a last one :) Seems I not able to pass the udma-2 level for my harddrives. Anyone has a clue as to why the Nforce-IDE port does not allow more than that ? Or - has it to do with the new IDE-Drivers that got into 2.4.2x ? (Well, the IDE-Driver cleanups that took place - Thx Alan ) ...

Here the relevant dmesg-output part:
Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 7.00beta-2.4
ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx
NFORCE2: IDE controller at PCI slot 00:09.0

hdb: 80418240 sectors (41174 MB) w/1916KiB Cache, CHS=5005/255/63, UDMA(33)

Trying to set these through hdparm etc. fails, e.g. it stays at UDMA 2.
Note - drive 2 is also a IBM Drive - OEM drive - which is not marked as real IBM, or I got a Clone ;)

Here my Hardware: - Asus A7N8X Delux (Using the 3com Network Port, and Onboard Sound + USB, Firewire drivers loaded though) - 2x256MBytes Ram - 1x30GB+1x40GByte E-IDE Harddrives, running in UDMA-2 mode (Don't know if enable idebus=66 is safe. Havn tried it yet). - 1 Geforce 3 Ti500 (Hercules) with 64MBytes Ram - using the DVI Port. - 1 Eizo L465TFT Black screen (*A beauty :)*)

Thx for any hints & Cheers
