It is a misnomer that one must log into the gui as root (which is very
dangerous) in order to run gui apps with root access. In order to run
xcdroast as root, simply open a terminal, type su, enter the root password
and then enter xcdroot. The program is now running with all root
proviledges. This can be done for anty app. BTW, this method is also far
faster than logging out, logging in as root, logging out and logging in as
user again.
