It is most unfair to keep harping on this one. You were told openly

Well I'm speaking totally as a non-programmer. ;) Keep the seperate components, have a simple gui front end that allows them all to be controlled as before. I really can't believe that it is a nightmare.. isn't the gui just a front end for urpmi? How can it be a nightmare? I know... drop it already... I just thought this must be a hot button for you. I didn't want the list to think just one person didn't like the new setup. :) take care and I read your many posts with interest. Don't be mad at me.


Lorne, I don't think that opening Mandrake Control Center > Software Management and navigating between the management components varies by more than a click or two from the functionality of the former rpmdrake, does it? I saw many complaints based on a lack of understanding that they were available all at once, as opposed to using the separate entries in the menu.
