"Everyone knows" that managers miss the obvious, don't they? The truth is that top management is not an enviable job in tough times. There are always tough decisions to be made, and no-one else has the full picture so criticism is guaranteed. Until there are real signs that things are mismanaged, we should keep a still tongue on things we can know little about. Our job, as Vincent said, is to keep them on the road - and that needs cash as well as promotion. Time for rewards when the corner is turned. Big progress has been made, and more will come, but not if we go around bad-mouthing them. My not-so-humble opinion.
