Thanks Artemio,
I have found ESMTP - a send only program, with it I can send email using my 
ISP's smtp without having to install a full-fledge mail server.

Also, I put the command: ifconfig | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] at the end of the 
firewall script which is fired up by /etc/ppp/ip-up.local script.

This is wonderful.
