So is this the new project, Chuck? FS in BM? I have been trying to figure
your plans out for a little while now. Too many interesting one-off little
questions on a few sites...

   Chris,

The min weight for Solo Amod is 900 pounds with driver and a max of
20 feet square of wing (F+R).

A top notch B mod car should be about 3 seconds faster on a 45 second
course than the fastest FM or CM cars (F500 or FF1600). A top notch
Amod car would be about another 3 seconds faster than that.

I suppose that you could run in Bmod just as readily if no one
bothers with scales. Call your car an FS. FS isn't classed elsewhere
in Solo presently and should probably be able to run in BM since that
is where all unclassed GCR cars go (FS is 750# w/out driver). FS has
   unlimited wing and unlimited motor.
With no downforce, a 600cc MC powered KBS V will probably be about as
fast, or more likely, a little bit slower than a 440cc or 500cc
2-stroke KBS in FM. I ran against a guy in CA with such a car and
even with one of the top F125 Kart drivers in the country piloting it,
it was a tad slower than my Kaw powered F500. It had well developed
suspension (IRS) with coilovers and his total weight was about the
same as mine. This was at a 2 day practice event on concrete at El
Toro in 2002 and they both had plenty of runs. They didn't have any
wings at all, so that hurt their performance , I'm sure.
   Chuck
