Chuck...that was an excellent letter and something that we need to jump on soon. A concerted letter/e-mail barrage from the racers of the region needs to happen very soon. I am also interested in looking into this problem for potential editorial columns on eformulacarnews.com and in FormulaCar Magazine.
Please forward me the necessary contact information so that I can interview the correc people to get their 'official' statement and motivations on paper. When it comes to Regional SCCA racing, it high time that all the classes get off their asses and organize Challenge-style series that pick and choose Regionals for mass competition. The EWC in the Central Division uses the power of a 25+ grid to demand a sole race group. The guys run other Regionals as well, but for a Regional Club to get the money from big formula car entries, they need to treat the category with some respect. Lumping F500 and FV with SRF is disgusting and dangerous.
