Chuck all those shocks and wings and sway bars is what scares all the first
timers away from road racing, too complicated, I need an engineer with me to go
racing. The point of having a class that is supose to be karter friendly, is
that the setup would make sense and not be overly complicated.

  Jay,
While a 6 speed might mean something to some people, F500 ought to look
carefully at more than that.

In my experience, most people, once they see the solid rear end and lack of
coils springs and lack of true shocks just shake their heads and walk away.

They think: "big, evil handling go-kart that will hurt my back".

I reckon that most of the Solo and road racing population with true shocks
has been totally spoiled by the magic that those devices perform.

Just as a 6 speed may not be any faster than a CVT,
it doesn't matter a bit to them if you are quick with rubber pucks

It is a perception thing too.

the powerplant woudn't matter as much as long as it fed a CVT.
I'd still prefer a CVT very much because the faster you go in Solo the less
you care to take even a finger off of the steering wheel.
