Legal, and it works great! Too bad there are not that many in use, as that makes our car more like "real cars" in peoples eyes and not oversize go karts... But alas, as i assemble my car for next year, I am to the point of installing the motor and I have to choose, have reverse and drag around a boat anchor (50 lbs), on an engine that i'm not really sure is as fast as a 494 to start with. (I ran a couple test days without the 50 pounds and never even got close to my times with the 494, AND EVEN AFTER A YEAR OF TESTING, STILL NOT AS FAST)! Or.. put in the 494, loose the 50 lbs and run up front....gee, what to do.... It really is a shame that we have a great engine with a lot of high tec stuff (like reverse), but nobody wants to use due to this weight problem. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, 28 Aug 2006 1:17 PM Subject: Re: [F500] Rotax 493 installation
