OK Doug, I pushed a fix for the GLSL attribute bug to git://repo.or.cz/ 
factor/jcg.git . That seemed to clear up the problem I encountered  
under Windows. The GL context issues I mentioned in an earlier post  
appear to have been side effects of the error dialogs popping up,  
since they go away when the underlying error is fixed.

If that doesn't do the trick for you on Linux, do you know of a Linux  
live cd that comes with the real nvidia drivers (or at least makes  
them easy to set up)? I don't have a permanent Linux install handy.
