Which TM Center has TM teachers waving candles to
Shiva or Mother Divine or any Hindu goddess? Turq
probably hasn't been inside a TM center for over
forty years and probably never been inside a
Marshy Golden Dome of Pure Knowledge in his
entire life.

I've visited at least a dozen TM centers over the
years and done program in two golden domes. But
the fact is that nobody waves 'candles' in a puja
to Shiva or any Hindu goddess: all the centers
I've visited always use pure camphor.

According to Prakashanand Saraswati, who is the
Swami at Barsana Dham, one of the largest Hindu
temples outside India, the burning of products
made from petroleum are offensive to the Mother
Divine.

It's probaly alright to burn candles, with your
shoes on, at Sitges altars in Espanola, or light
a votive to Our Lady of the Lake Guadalupe
someplace down in Jalisco, but what would they
know about puja?

cheap candles all the time for mood making.

One informer on this forum once tried to get me
to purchase cheap incense from an Indian mini-mart.
Can you believe that? Everyone knows that the
mundane joss sticks found in most Indian grocery
stores is pure punk.
