Thank you for that, Salvatore, you make my point for me by listing his
accomplishments.

First, let's eliminate all the stuff about getting elected and academics
because that has very little bearing on accomplishments and what the guy
can do in the real world of real politik.

We are then left with the following:

What a stereotypical politician! He increased spending from $70,000 to
$400,000.

And, pray tell, how did the enormous accomplishments of the Job training
program (ooh, no one's ever done THAT before!), a college preparatory
tutoring program (every high school in the country' already had one...so
this one must have been REALLY special!), and a tenant's rights
organisation (something tells me that Chicago already had tenants'
rights organisation even before Obama was born...what was so special
about this one?) prepare him for being president?

Can you say: suck the teat of government and create jobs for your
friends?

And, by the way, as far as "community organisers" go, this would be
considered a poor to fair report card.

For future reference, Sal, here's the standard for "community
organisers" that you should use to determine accomplishments: Mother
Theresa.

Mother Theresa was a community organiser. She probably accomplished in
one day in community organising activities what B. Hussein did during
his --what, 20 years? -- of community organising.

And, by the way, on Sundays when Mother Theresa went to Church, did she
sit at the feet of some racist demagogue?

And what great cases did he take as a civil rights attorney?

Voter registration drives have been going on across the country for
decades. They are nothing new. That he got appointed to such a
position is indicative of his ability to get appointed by his political
friends more than anything.

You're really stretching, Sal, if this is what you have to come up with.

That's it? That's his big accomplishment??? That's really
Earth-shattering!

Better go back to Wikipedia, Sal, and dig up some of those incredible
other accomplishments you say you weren't able to list because they were
too numerous.

And once you list them, we can go over THOSE "accomplishments.

But since "accomplishments" is apparently such a big factor for you in
whom to vote for president, why not list those of Ralph Nader who is
also running for president and see how he stacks up against Obama?
