Me too. (I would like to think that women are too sensible to seek such a position, but unfortunately I know better). Even more so I would like to know how decisions are made in the various TM organizations. There are so many organizations which overlap in individuals involved that I wonder how often formalities of organizational structure are followed.

Wouldn't it be interesting to be a fly on the wall of a meeting of the rajas or a meeting of the board of any of the organizations? I can't imagine. Catholic intrigue at the Curia?

It's interesting the obvious difference between Indian Vedism and Indian tantrism. The Vedic side is blatantly patriarchal, while the older, tantric side still retains it's appreciation for the feminine. This can be seen in many Hindu neighborhoods, villages or temples where there may be a young girl who is chosen to represent the Goddess and is worshipped and afforded all the privileges you might associate with such an office. The popular Indian saint Amma probably represents the enlightened aspect of what that tradition originally meant.
