To All: >From my understanding, the sun sutra was designed to reveal the sequential >manifestation of consciousness into the phenomenal existence as proposed in >MMY's apaurousia. The sun represents the Self as the source of the various >elements that make up life on earth and the universe.
This is the reason why Patanjali states that if anyone reflects on the significance of the sun, knowledge of the world will be revealed to that person. Perhaps one can even understand the meaning of MMY's equations as they relate to the various stanzas in the Rig Veda. JR
