The Acer Aspire One usually comes with Windows 7 'Starter' or XP Home edition OS. It may not run very fast with Windows 7 Ultimate installed on it. Maybe the brother bought and paid for the OS, unless pirating software just runs in the family. I got my Acer Aspire One for $284.00 on Amazon (no tax), free shipping, and it's street legal. To upgrade the 3-cell battery, will cost Barry an additional $95.00.
