I wonder if you could download the trial version and then put in your license number? http://trial.trymicrosoftoffice.com/ I got a Samsung NC10 + XP recently - and am very pleased with it. But as I still have one or two ancient progs that require CD installation, I bought an external CD RW DVD ROM drive. Quite cheap, problem solved. Instead of Word I use Google Docs and love it to bits. (I never need most of Word's bells & whistles). Richard M
