And given that about 147,000 die on average every day. Which actually is an
important point to keep from getting deluded by some predictions. Two events
may be correlated, but are often totally non related.
And the 147,000 deaths per day puts things in perspective. 9/11 was tragic, but
thats like 3% of who die every day. Huge morning for those 5,000(?) -- but who
mourns daily for the other 147,000? Were the 9/11 folks more deserving of our
mourning? Were their families more deserving or special than the 142,000
families who lost a loved one that day? (yes I know such figures are blippy --
maybe there were 150,000 who died on 9/11 -- a small surge. The point is still
the same.)
