It's the explaining that comes after the reporting which is more amusing. The 
guys on the "news" desk put things on the site that sound good to them, but 
they're not always approved of by the top cats. 

Obviously they have to report it as good news because everyone else thinks it 
is so they have to make an attempt to claim the credit. It's in the weeks ahead 
where they have to trot out explanations as to why removing an autocratic and 
kleptocratic regime is a good thing, but "err, umm that doesn't apply to us"
