I was going to start looking at building a new 64-bit Linux box. But I
have to really get my butt in gear to make sure they are stuck to give
me the quoted price this week at Fry's because I fear they might start
raising some of those prices too. Looking at my Linux pendrive boots on
my Windows 7 64-bit machine it looks like I might be wasting money
getting anything more than a two core since it appears Ubuntu isn't
optimized for anything more than that. I watch my 3D program on Windows
7 64-bit machine use all 4 cores. Looks like I could build a two core
64-bit with 1 TB HD, 4 GB memory for $300.

I had friends buy a bunch of potassium iodine tablets about 10 years ago
so they would have some for friends and relatives. Bet those bottles
expired and they threw them out. Probably wish they didn't now.
