9/11 has caused a similar, right wing Christian impulse to arise in
the collective consciousness of our nation. Extreme right wing
ideologies, the precise cultural equivalents of an America Taliban
are infiltrating our very military. Soldiers pass kill photos as
mementoes on thumb drives between comrades. The same right-wing
reaction has spread in a conservative right-wing political backlash
that equates union busting, abolishment of estate taxes on the
wealthy and corporate tax cuts with teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
It ain't looking good.
