Thanks for the advice. That is an excellent idea, and while I am not "tech", I am going to give it a try. Some of the albums I have, many of them great children's stories and music that accompanied and entertained me, are definitely out of circuit and my own children never even heard them.
The weather here has shifted also. We had an unusually nice October. Months of dreariness is approaching. The forecast for the next 10 days is "cold and rain." ________________________________ From: Bhairitu <noozg...@sbcglobal.net> To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, November 12, 2011 11:20 AM Subject: Re: [FairfieldLife] Whipped Cream On 11/11/2011 10:56 PM, Denise Evans wrote: > I pulled a box of old records out of my garage this week, including a few of > my father's favorites I saved before Ma threw them all away. I've been thinking about getting one for years to convert what few LPs (some rare) around here. All you do is plug the USB plug from the turntable into the computer and install the software and you're ready to go. Of course don't forget to plug the turntable AC or adapter into the wall if it needs it (there may be some that can run of the 5V on the USB). My neighbor is having another one of their garage sales today. I asked her "where do you get this stuff? Do you grow it?" They have them twice a year. They've invited me to bring some of my stuff over but they never give me enough advance warning. And I don't want to sit around all day to run a sale myself. My neighbors also have a condo share in Florida and are missing that weather since California is unusually cold these days. My phone weather widget shows snowflakes some mornings.
