I watched the clips.  Interesting and a good marketing piece that many, who
consider Oprah their teacher, will explore and follow up on.  Her visit served
its purpose in that regard.  I think it interesting that "no one is/has been
allowed to see the pundits compound" except, now, for
Oprah....because....."why?"  Is there a principle behind that rule?  I found
some of the comments interesting; it seems that the women meditators have
accepted the Hindu belief that "women are impure during menses" and the
"separation" that generates.  Also, are all the Indian pundits from the Brahmin
class only, as stated in a comment?  Hmmm....brings up a larger question of
societal equality in India and the tacit agreement of this practice by the
supporting Western culture.  Also, can women be "priests"?  Seems like the TM
org has elevated women into positions of power here in the U.S., albeit perhaps
women aren't allowed at the highest levels. Monetarily, TM is
presented with a total cost of $2000 with scholarships mentioned as a way to
mitigate for the poor - i.e. "no one is ever turned away."  Is that realistic,
given the progression through the program?

I would like to see Oprah dig a little deeper into the belief system and
mechanics/rules/finances/practices of the organization.  She has jumped on the
celebrity bandwagon for TM.  Maybe Ellen will be allowed in next?

Why are you telling such shameless stories, don't you realize it will only
inspire the Turq&Vaj to intensify their "TM is BAD, Buddhism is GOOD" campaign ?
