For some reason, I woke up in the middle of the night last night with
the lyrics to Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" running through my head.
ALL of the lyrics.

It's the latter that caused me to stay awake and not slip back into
dreaming. I haven't heard or thought about this song in easily twenty
years, but for some reason *every word* is still lodged in my brain, and
still accessible. I was Go figure-ing so much at this that I fired up my
laptop and searched YouTube, searching for the original song, to listen
to it again.

What I found instead was this. It's a version that Joni recorded in
2000, after many, many years of water flowing under the bridge of life.
Or bridge flowing over the static water of life, if you're more Zen.
Whatever.

Anyway, what a revelation. It's almost not even the same song. Enjoy:
