I got my only speeding ticket in AZ, really close to where you mention. They were letting the trucks go, and catching them outside Kingman, instead.

And, one of the tires on my car blew out because of the heat. Luckily, a passing truck driver helped me put on my spare tire, which got me to the closest big town in Kingman, AZ. That experience taught me a lesson: never use retreaded tires when crossing a desert in Arizona in the middle of summer.
