San Francisco's Talk910 has been spending much of the day in retrospect since Williams lived locally and was not a "Hollywood Guy."

Though he apparently suffered from clinical depression this was also compounded by recent bouts of "situational depression" and something he should have noticed he was not alone with. He was basically a victim of 1) the banksters and their destruction of the American economy (so they can buy it all out for pennies on the dollar and make us all bow to them) and 2) the democratization of the arts or what we might call "the YouTube Virus".

First off, Williams was taking gigs he didn't want because of his financial problems. The failed TV show was one of them. He would have done better to create a no holds barred HBO type series or maybe something for Netflix (look at what Louie CK has done). He also actually doesn't play well with everybody and there were roles he took I didn't care much for. According to the director of "What Dreams May Come" he was a little difficult to work with because of being more an improv comedian than a trained actor. In that film the reverses were shot at different times because Annabella Sciorra, a profession actress, was pretty much a one-take artist. Williams, on the other hand, might take 9 takes to get it right.

I see his talent as being a very creative right brained person with just enough groundedness to keep from flying completely off the planet and keep his improvs making sense. His inspirtation was Jonathan Winters (also a local guy) who suffered a mental breakdown during his career. I think that being overly right-brained can lead to depression.

The "YouTube Virus" has given anyone in the arts a magnitude of competition and makes it difficult for even professionals to stand out. It used to be that producing any mass media was expensive and you needed to convince media producers that you were worth something. But these days anyone with a smartphone camera can create something. This means there is a lot of amateur noise out there with the increased distribution channels.

Bhairitu and all,

Robin Williams chart shows he had a predisposition for depression. Specifically, he had the conjunction of Rahu and the Moon in Aquarius, and Saturn was placed in the 8th house from the Moon. Since Rahu is currently transiting Virgo, the same 8th house from the natal Moon, his mind was severely confused and overwhelmed with sorrow and grief. As such he hung himself, which is an indication of Rahu's involvement. For those who are not familiar with the vedic myth, Rahu is a malefic being whose head was cut off from its body by the spinning chakra thrown by Vishnu, the lord of the universe.
