Never pass up a tragedy if you think it will help you win a religious

Jesus Christ Steve! Get out of your head and into your heart. He was
a father of three, he was beloved by so many, he did shows for the
troops, etc. That first line of yours is a non-starter.

I am sorry for him, but I have to say, I never really cared for him.
Here is why. He never seemed to break from his "crazy" person persona.
I sometimes saw interviews with him, and I would have liked to see
what he was under that personna. Sometimes he would get straight for
an instant, and then it was right back to the crazy person role.
Did anyone else feel that way?
Or maybe I just didn't know enough about him.
Reflecting further, and I hope I don't get slammed for this, but you
sometimes hear about overweight people, and maybe especially
overweight women, assuming the "jolly jester" persona.
I always thought that was sad, and obviously masking unhappiness.
I got the same impression from Robin Williams.
