I remember both of my times in Oregon fondly. There was a level of GREEN there
that I haven't found elsewhere since. I mean Green in terms of foliage, not
politics, but it was always pretty Green on that level, too. Whether by law or
by politically-correct mutual agreement, GMO foods here in the Netherlands seem
to be clearly labeled. I haven't paid enough attention, partly because I figure
that if I've survived this long without turning into a mutant, and after having
ingested all the chemicals I did in the mid-60s, a few odd designer genes
probably aren't going to tip me over the edge. :-)

moved from San Mateo, California.
Last year, we had a GMO labeling requirement on the ballot. It was Oregon's
most expensive election issue EVER. That tells me something. The labeling
requirement lost, but they were outspent 3 to 1 by the Frankenfood Companies.
Even if GMO food can be shown to be safe, I firmly believe we have an inherent
right to know what we are being sold and putting in our bodies.
Like, Bhairitu is pointing out a bunch of stores and products now label their
products as non GMO anyway. New Seasons and Whole Foods are behind this
