I don't doubt them. I just don't see what someone's ability to sit in a classroom or write a thesis has to do with their credibility.

Not IMO. I would be writing the same thing if we were talking about any teacher or guru.

belief/experience in the credibility of the accusers.

Accusers is a loaded word since none are accusing him of coercion or sex with minors. Many will say this doesn't matter, that it's still unethical and taking advantage. I say the women made their own choices at the time. Living to regret something is hopefully a learning experience and a sign of moving on, not an accusatory one.

Agreed, with the caveat of profound changes in life and lifestyle, for the better.
