Well, for everyone there was some sort of teacher / student
relationship. So exploitation of that is not out of the question.

But no one was on salarly, other than room and board and a stipend. It
was not like a corporate setting where M was directly hiring a
secretary or some female marketing director and then hitting on them. 

But he controlled who was in the inner circles -- thus in a sense had
full hiring and firing responsibilities. And sleeping with "direct
reports" is a no no in the corporate world. And dangerous because it
opens the company up for massive sexual discrimination suits. (He/CEO
didn't promote me, he didnt give me the raise i deserved, etc, because
I would't sleep with him anymore". Its become a firable offense for
top executives -- and for most managment levels.
