I'm sorry, but this is such bullshit I have to speak up. Anyone who was an activist back in the late 60s and early 70s might have suspected that *some* US government agency was monitoring their efforts, but almost no one (except, seemingly, Judy Stein) was crazy enough to believe it was the CIA. You see, back then (and now, although now the lines have been blurred by the Reagans and Bushes) the CIA was forbidden by law from investigating anything that was taking place in the United States. It *had* to concern itself with things going on outside the country. The FBI and the NSA handled internal security matters in the U.S. All of us who were activitists knew this, and so the thought that we were being monitored by the CIA would *never* have occurred to us. T'would seem that Judy missed that particular civics lesson during her paranoid 70s. :-) ------------------------ Yahoo!
