There's no definitive guide.. but it's relatively straight forward.
Specifically for 2.x generation FarCry:
1) install FUServlet as indicated above
2) set ADMIN >> CONFIG >> plugins to turn on FUs
3) set relevant ADMIN >> CONFIG >> FriendlyURL settings for your
installation
4) use ../tags/webskin/buildlink.cfm custom tag to refer to build your
links in the presentation tier
