First of all your set up is not quite right.. lets sort that out first.
Generally there is a lot of stuff going on under the hood in FarCry.
If its not configured correctly it can be slow.

FarCry out of the box is designed to be generic and appeal to a broad
cross section of implementors.  If you need better performance you can
streamline FarCry to perform very well.  FarCry is driving sites from
simple hobbyists to those generating over a million page impressions a
day.

With any luck the we can get your site ship shape and ready to take on
the world :)
