You probably do need to tune your JVM. If you have the default it is set to "0 to 512" megs on the heap. With 2 Gigs you could safely set it to 1024/1024. There are lots of blogs on this topic - including my own:
www.coldfusionmuse.com Do a search for JVM and you should get a couple of posts plus links to other blogs like Robi Sen, Bruce Purcell and Pete Freitag (among others). -Mark -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Flying Mountain Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 4:25 PM To: farcry-dev Subject: [farcry-dev] Re: Speed Issues > What are your server specs? > > Hardware, OS? Dual 2.8gHz Intel Xeon chips. The database is MySQL 5.0.0.1 on the same server. I don't know how to allocate it more ram. The server uses only about 1gb ram and 1% of cpu power. I have CF set to default caches I think.... Ideas? More questions? Thanks so much for helping me figure this out.
