Interesting.... I had the 3.1.13 J Connector. I switched to the 3.0.17 version (I couldn't find the 3.1.10 you mentioned.)
The first page I hit took 18 seconds processiong by cf - making the db connection, initializing things, something on that order I suppose. But all the next pages ARE much faster. Average is between 600 and 1000ms. MUCH better! When I turn off debugging it is properly speedy! HOORAY. So the Jconnector was the problem. Don't use 3.1.13! Thanks so much.
