Andrew,

FUs are covered on the WIKI [1]

The FU update should have been run when you ran the b300 updater.

The FU update drops then re-creates the FU table. The FU update uses the
value of your site's application.dbtype (on our sites, set in
<projectname>/config/_serverSpecificVars.cfm).
For SQL Server databases, if the value is 'odbc' it re-creates the table
using 'varchar(8000)' for the 'friendlyurl' and 'query_string' fields.
Otherwise, it uses the 'text' data type.

On SQL Server, our sites use varchar(8000). If you are having issues
with 'text' you could try switching to use varchar for these two fields.

(I would be interested to hear if other are using the text type for
these fields and if they are having trouble with FUs.)

Subject: [farcry-dev] Re: Farcry V2.3 - 3.01 update

David,

At this stage I am going blindly on the update, I haven't found one
thing on the website on pitfalls or workarounds. So when it comes to
running such things I have assumed that the updates directory will do
these updates for me.

I did find the bug listed in Jira, however it says it was resolved. With
no clue other than it was fixed in V3.01.

Do you have any links that I can read that gives more detail on what you
mentioned about the FU?

Hmm, my friendurl and query string are showing up as text data types,
and this is on MSSQL server 2000 and just running the 3.0 and 3.01
updates from www.domain.com/farcry/updates/ and selecting the updates
and applying them.
