I guess this is what happens with open source frameworks and so on. It is more of a community based thing and a lot of people may develop applications using it but when it comes to putting together proposals and such where you have to quantify the commercial side of things and show the commercial support aspect, I think you are going to run into barriers. I guess it's the nature of the beast as each company that develops with it will have their own spin on the framework, different plugins and so on so it becomes difficult for anyone to say they give commercial support unless its for the version they are actually using.
That's my take anyway. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jake Churchill Sent: Monday, 23 April 2007 7:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [farcry-dev] Re: Who else provides commercial support? CF Webtools does a good amount of farcry development. We've never actually had anyone come to us for commercial support but we have some expertise with developing on it. Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows of other companies that provide commercial support for FarCry besides Daemon? In particular, I'd like to know of any Brisbane-based companies. I am developing a business case at work for implementing the CMS and want to list other companies that support FarCry to show that it is well supported out there... Companies that I have found so far: * Enpresiv Group, Adelaide & Perth offices http://www.enpresiv.com/ - great info on their site about FarCry support provided, extensions created. Site also powered by FarCry. * Sauce Design, Orange NSW http://www.saucedesign.com.au/ * Mitousa, Adelaide http://www.mitousa.com/ - not sure these two companies actually provide formal FarCry support (not advertised), but have experience developing sites with it Thanks - Mal --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-dev" group.
