Casey, Yes, you should be able to upgrade straight to 5.2.7. But there are a few steps that you have to do.
1. The most important: backup your DB first. A lot of DB changes will happen during the upgrade. Backing up ensures you can rollback on case something goes wrong. You may want to try the upgrades in dev first. 2. Keep a backup of your FC core and plugins. 3. Make sure you update your plugins too (assuming a FC 5 version of them exists). 4. As of FC 5.1 you'll need a Rewrite tool for Friendly URLs. Whether or not you were already using one for FC 4, make sure to check the docs/wiki and see that your scripts are correct. 5. There is a place in the docs homepage that talks about upgrading from 4 to 5. Make sure you go through that and setup things like the "webtop" web mapping. 6. After you're all done and everything appears to be running, make sure you run the updater to 5.2. To do this, go to http://domain/webtop/updates and run the updater for 5.2. Can I jump from 4.0.9 > straight to 5.2.7? Or do I need to go to 5.0.2, 5.1.6, then to 5.2.7? > > -- > You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" > Google group. > To post, email: [email protected] > To unsubscribe, email: [email protected] > For more options: http://groups.google.com/group/farcry-dev > -------------------------------- > Follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/farcry -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
