Hi Marco, The default friendly URL rewrites for FarCry will not look at URL's that have a dot (.) in them, so this URL would never be caught by the FarCry Friendly URL service: http://www.website.com/index.cfm?newsid=2300&read=1
If you want to do the 301 redirect in CFML, then I would place the code in your projects _serverSpecificRequestScope.cfm and do the redirect there. You could change the default URL rewrite in Apache to look for this type of URL, but at that point you should probably just use Apache for everything because it will be much more efficient to do it at the Apache level rather than in CFML. cheers, Justin On Friday, March 8, 2013 11:30:55 AM UTC+11, Marco van den Oever wrote: > > In addition, just to make sure I told my situation clearly. > > - I have old URLs like http://www.website.com/index.cfm?newsid=2300&read=1 > - That website is now set in Farcry so the new URLs are mainly > http://www.website.com/index.cfm?objectid=095800AA-5DEE-4603-B043EA361D8DB922<http://www.website.com/index.cfm?newsid=2300&read=1> > - I have a code redirect in my header that goes from old to new URLs > - I want to make sure that the old and new URLs are redirected ok by using > a 301 redirect > - Also want to use Farcry FU URLs > > So al I need is using Farcry FU URLs? > My feeling says I am not correct on this.... > > Op vrijdag 8 maart 2013 01:22:27 UTC+1 schreef Marco van den Oever het > volgende: >> >> It's mainly for URLs like: >> >> http://www.website.com/index.cfm?newsid=2300&read=1 >> >> so emm there are dots in it but I assume those dot's are no problem as >> there are always dots in index.cfm ? >> >> Also right now I see a Farcry FU: >> /links/bandstemmen-fenomeen/bandstemmen-fenomeen >> As you see there is 2 times "bandstemmen-fenomeen", how can I solve that? >> >> Thanks. >> >> Op donderdag 7 maart 2013 21:26:03 UTC+1 schreef Justin Carter het >> volgende: >>> >>> Do you have any old URLs with dots (.)
