I will give 'Subtree refresh failure' tool a go the next time it happens.
I sort of figured what u described in the thread

was probaly what was occuring.
As u can imagine, trying to explain the limitations and difficulties of implementing complex content managent concepts on a web platform are not comprehended by general users :)
