Dear Sirs, I've been reading with interest your site about the full disk encryption suites.
The one major drawback that I can see all software based solutions is the overhead on the CPU. Given that the trend now is heading for multicore CPUs I was wondering if any of your subscribers has any information regarding the performance of these software solutions on QUAD/DUAL core intel cpus. I would be interested to know if anyone has tried these suites on quad core CPUs. I rather suspect that seeing as the operating systems [and most likely the software packages as well] are not coded for multicore environments that the performance overhead would still be quite substantial.
