Is this a legitimate service: http://www.thelaptoplock.com/ ? They claim to have the ability to encrypt your data remotely in case your laptop gets stolen.
It is a free service. So what is the catch? What is in it for them? What is stopping them from using their client to copy all my data to their servers? The real scary part is that they don't even have a physical presense. I wouldn't use this service, and I am about to send email to our user-base to avoid any such services. Any thoughts?
