Hello: How do you ensure that datastreams of ingested digital objects are allocated a checksum?
There doesn't seem to be any means of doing it in the FOXML file used to describe the uploaded object, and when I ingest them using the Fedora Administrator client (Ingest > Multiple objects > From directory) they all appear as checksum = disabled. The fedora.fcfg file has settings <param name="autoChecksum" value="true"> and <param name="checksumAlgorithm" value="MD5"> which ought to force checksums to be added. Which leaves 2 questions. 1 How can I force checksums on ingested objects described in FOXML? 2 How can I add checksums to datastreams that have already been loaded without doing every one manually in Fedora Administrator? Any ideas?
