You can included the tag <foxml:contentDigest TYPE="MD5"/> in the
datastreamVersion for each datastream listed in the FOXML. On ingest the
digest value will be filled out automatically.

This will take a bit of code. You can use findObjects and listDatastreams
from API-A to get a listing of datastreams to update, then use the
modifyDatastream methods in API-M to set the checksum type. You can use the
REST API to do this as well, if you have it enabled.
