In 1990 a friend (Michael McCoy - are you lurking out there on the list
somewhere Mickie?) gave me his copy of Magician. I don't remember why as we
never swapped any other books before or after. Like all the rest of you lot I
was hooked. I read all that had been published in order and when they ran out
I stopped. Several times over the following years I had the thrill of spotting
a new Feist book in a shop and it was always a must-buy-on-sight. Eventually I
became disciplined enough to keep track of publication dates.

In 1990 I bought my first P.C. and found the list that year. I rarely break
cover but for some reason I felt like it today.

Subject: How did you find Magician?

I've been a member of the list for a while, but I haven't posted... I was
wondering how everyone found Magician when you read it the first time.

I went to Marist High School in Chicago and my freshman literature teacher,
Mrs. Littleton had us read both, Apprentice and Master, for class... I have
been in love with the story ever since. It is now 17 years later and it is
the only series of books (really the only books) that I read... I always
read the newest book in 1-2 days (which causes some rough mornings the next
day).
